Description
2019 marks the centenary of the murder of visionary socialist Rosa Luxemburg, who fought to create a society based on justice and equality. Her legacy is very much alive in the political struggles of our own age. Three activist-scholars come together to address key elements of this inspiring revolutionary’s life and work. Helen Scott provides a contextual overview; Nancy Holmstrom explores Luxemburg’s significance for feminism; and Alyssa Adamson discusses Luxemburg’s commitment to anti-imperialism. The panel presentation is followed by a discussion facilitated by Nancy Welch.
