Senator Leahy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy, Governor Shumlin and Mayor Weinberger kick off the Federal Partners “Call to Action” meeting, during which representatives present from at least 13 federal agencies will plan actions to address nutrient pollution and harmful algae blooms in Lake Champlain. Administrator McCarthy will announce EPA technical assistance to help Burlington take a more integrated approach to stormwater and wastewater projects and improve water quality in Lake Champlain.

The group will meet under the leadership of Town Meeting TV's Travis Washington from the end of January 2025 to the beginning of June 2025, on a schedule agreed upon by the whole cohort.
