U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Gov. Peter Shumlin and the Vermont Department of Public Service on Monday host a Vermont Clean Energy Investment Summit.  
In addition to the senator and governor, featured speakers will include Maj. Gen. Michael Dubie, the adjutant general of the Vermont National Guard, and Richard Kauffman, one of the country’s leading experts on private-sector investments in clean energy and a top aide to U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu.  
The summit brings together Vermont’s renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses, credit unions and community banks, utilities, state and federal officials, regional and national clean-energy organizations and others. The goal is to catalyze clean-energy investments in Vermont.
