Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to encourage citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies help improve communication between the citizens of Burlington and City government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 2 & 3 meet the second Thursday of the month. Meeting place: McClure Multi-Generational Center 241 North Winooski Avenue, Next to QTees.

A community dialogue on how Vermont can stay on track toward a universal healthcare system where we all people get the care they need, when they need it. In 2011, due to a people’s movement, Vermont passed a law requiring the state to create a universal healthcare system that meets all people’s health needs. The Vermont Workers’ Center, who leads the Healthcare Is a Human Right Campaign, is holding community meetings statewide this fall to talk with our neighbors about how this system will work and how we can hold our government accountable to making it a reality. CCTV Center for Media & Democracy is pleased to announce receipt of a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Humanities Collections and Reference Resources grant alongside 32 peer archival institutions across the country.
