Vermont Language Justice Project - VLJP: Number of People Testing Positive for Covid 19 are on the Rise - French 04/29/2022

Greetings

Over the past few weeks, the number of people who have COVID-19 has gone up in Vermont, and around the country. The number of people in the hospital is going up too.

I want to remind you that if you wear a mask inside stores, your office or place of work, and the homes of family and friends it is less likely that you will get COVID-19. The Vermont Department of Health still recommends wearing masks on buses, taxi’s and airplanes.

Also remember to wash your hands regularly and please stay home if you feel sick.

It is now really clear that if you are vaccinated it is much less likely you will get very sick and end up in the hospital from COVID-19. So, if you have not received the COVID-19 vaccines or boosters, please consider doing so.

Remember that testing is still free. Please get tested if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. If you start to feel even a little bit sick, get tested as soon as possible.

En las últimas semanas, el número de personas que tienen COVID-19 ha aumentado en Vermont y en todo el país. El número de personas en el hospital también está aumentando.

You no longer need to register. The testing site at 294 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington will be closed starting Friday, April 1st, as well as the site at Taft Corners in Williston. The testing site in Stratton will be closed from April 6th onwards. You will be able to walk in to get a COVID test at 405 Pine Street on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays from 8 am till 4pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 12pm till 7pm and Saturdays from 9-2pm At the OBrien Center in Winooski you can walk in for a test on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3-8pm and Tuesday,, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am till 2pm. There are other testing sites around Vermont at this time. You can also get free COVID testing kits at both the Winooski and Burlington sites.
