Within the Statewide Housing Services division of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), a non-profit community action agency, is the Fair Housing Project, working to eradicate housing discrimination in Vermont through education, outreach, and enforcement of fair housing laws. The FHP assists victims of discrimination, investigates complaints, and works with attorneys to pursue litigation when necessary. This show covers the basics of services provided with staff members Kevin Stapleton and Dani Fuoco.

Uncommon Alliance's primary goal is to dismantle racial and ethnic profiling in our criminal justice system. This objective is realized by building positive relationships between members of affected communities and criminal justice professionals, and by providing continuing opportunities for dialogue and study around issues of race. The objective of this data collection effort is to promote accountablity and transparency of law enforcement officers, especially when dealing with members of minority communities. Moderated by Wanda Hines with participation by Burlington, Winooski and South Burlington Police Chiefs Schirling, McQueen and Whipple, Christine Longmore, Cofounder of Uncommon Alliance, Robert Appel of the Vermont Human Rights Commission, Jeanine Bunzigiye and Haskell Garrett, community members. CCTV Receives NEH Grant to Support Community Archives

CCTV Center for Media & Democracy is pleased to announce receipt of a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Humanities Collections and Reference Resources grant alongside 32 peer archival institutions across the country.
