Sandra Dooley, with the Vermont Suffrage Centennial Alliance (VSCA), a project of the League of Women Voters of Vermont Education Fund, previews a celebratory event to commemorate the 101st anniversary of women getting the vote: "Hard Won, Not Done: Voting Matters" takes place Saturday, August 14 at the State House Lawn. The program will coalesce around four themes: immigrant voting, enfranchisement, queer inclusion, and municipal voting with the goal to inspire attendees to value and support the right to vote for all. As part of a line up of inspiring women, keynoter Annette Gordon-Reed, historian, Harvard professor, Pulitzer-prize author will be in attendance.
