Description
School Commissioner Keith Pillsbury along with Superintendent Jeanne Collins host. Tonights guest is Pari Motia, Tooth Tutor. The Tooth Tutor program allows trained dental hygienists to spend time at your child's school each week. They have two key duties - (1) to provide brief in-class instruction about dental health, and (2) to identify students who need dental care or dental homes. If parents agree, the Tooth Tutors work with the dental clinic at Integrated Arts Academy at H.O. Wheeler or other dental practices to find dental homes for the students. They support parents' access to transportation and translation/interpretation services.
