Join Host and Community Producer Ed Baker as he sits down with Peter Jackson, MD, an Addiction Psychiatrist practicing at UVM Health Center.

Dr. Jackson explains the science of the human brain, the risk factors for addiction, and changes that occur in the brain as the disease of addiction, or substance use disorder, develops and progresses. Dr. Jackson discusses stigma, treatment, and recovery from addiction, as well as the heightened vulnerability to addiction that adolescent children face.
