Description
Join Host Ed Baker for an important and interesting analysis of stigma with his accomplished guest Kimberly Blake, MD.
Dr. Blake practices medicine at SafeRecovery, prescribing Buprenorphine to people with Opioid Use Disorder. The show focuses upon the stigma placed upon people with mental health and substance use disorder, how this costs lives by creating an unwelcoming treatment and recovery environment, and what viewers can do change this and create compassion for these vulnerable populations.
Dr. Blake also discusses her upcoming event in late August, “Our Stories Matter,” and her involvement in a newly formed national movement, “Mobilize Recovery.”
