Environmentalist, Bill McKibben, at Saint Michael's College gives a talk, “After America’s Hottest Year, It’s Time to Act: FOSSIL FUEL, DIVESTMENT, AND THE FUTURE”.
McKibben’s 1988 book The End of Nature was the first book for a general audience about global warming. He is co-founder and Chair of 350.org, an international climate campaign that works in 188 countries around the world. Bill McKibben is also the 2012 Burlington Free Press Vermonter of the Year.
The talk is sponsored by the SMC Lecture Series, Marketing Department, Green Up Club, Office of Sustainability, Environmental Studies Program and Environmental Council.
