Vermont Women's Mentoring Program 05/01/2008

CCTV Productions produced this award winning 13-minute video for Mercy Connections and Vermont Works for Women. It tells the story of the Vermont Women's Mentoring Program which connects women leaving prison with mentors in the community. The video includes interviews with program officials, incarcerated women and mentor/mentee pairs. It also features the song "Road to Freedom" by Rebecca Padula and Jess Wilson, written specifically for the project.

CCTV Productions produced this video for the CVOEO Fair Housing Project. It is being used in trainings with municipal leaders and encourages the use of growth centers to promote fair housing.

CCTV Productions produced this video for the CVOEO Mobile Home Project. It is being directly distributed to mobile home park residents in Vermont.

Winooski: City of Reinvention 02/08/2007

Produced by CCTV Productions, this video tells the story of downtown Winooski from the days of the Abenaki Indians and Ira Allen until today. It features footage of the 1973 urban renewal and looks extensively at the recent redevelopment project. The project also features music by Pete Sutherland. In 2007, it was awarded 1st place in the Alliance for Community Media North East Video Contest in the Documentary Profile category.

CCTV Receives NEH Grant to Support Community Archives

CCTV Center for Media & Democracy is pleased to announce receipt of a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Humanities Collections and Reference Resources grant alongside 32 peer archival institutions across the country. This $49,927 grant award will support efforts to preserve and expand access to audio/visual community history materials in the CCTV Archives. Read more about this opportunity here!
