Burlington Ward 6 NPA Meeting 02/01/2018

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Ward 6 meets the first Thursday of the month.

Chittenden County Public Safety Authority Ballot Question Panel 01/18/2018

At Town Meeting this year, voters in many communities will be asked whether to form the Chittenden County Public Safety Authority, a new union municipal district to provide regional emergency dispatch services. The Public Safety Authority would serve as the central hub to dispatch police, fire and rescue personnel for the communities it serves, and take on the role as the region’s 911 call answering center. If this new entity is created, selectboards and city councils will decide locally whether their communities will use it to provide dispatch services.

Town Meeting TV is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Spring 2025 cohort of the Neighborhood Community Media Internship program. Join up to 8 other youth to engage in interesting media making projects! This paid media internship opportunity is designed for youth aged 16-20 who are eager to gain professional experience in the audio-visual field and develop a deeper understanding of their local community. The group will meet under the leadership of Town Meeting TV's Travis Washington from the end of January 2025 to the beginning of June 2025, on a schedule agreed upon by the whole cohort.
