U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona travels to Burlington, Vermont and visits Champlain Elementary School where he speaks to afterschool teachers, visits a COVID-19 student vaccine clinic, and encourages students and families to get vaccinated.
More than 225 million Americans have received their first shot, including 15 million 12- to 17-year-olds. Over ten percent of children ages 5-11 have already received at least one dose of the vaccine since it became available on November 8.
Parents and caregivers can visit 20,000 convenient and trusted locations to get children vaccinated, including thousands of pediatricians and family doctors’ offices, pharmacies, community health centers, children’s hospitals, and community-based sites and schools.
