From the Public Safety Communications Task Force:
The Vermont Public Safety Communications Task Force will host two virtual listening sessions to allow the public to influence the future of emergency communications in Vermont. The virtual events will be held on the afternoon of October 22nd and the evening of October 24th.
Act 78, through the FY 2024 appropriations act, recognizes the critical need to safeguard public safety in Vermont. This legislation prioritizes the creation of a more reliable, secure, and interoperable public safety communications system, ensuring that every Vermonter has access to essential public safety services.
The public listening sessions offer an opportunity for the community to offer insight and directly influence the future of public safety communications in Vermont by sharing their experiences and insights. This public input is critical to the process.
