Celebrate CCTV's 37th Anniversary
CCTV 37th Anniversary Party
June 11, 2021 | 4:30 - 6:00 pm | Little Park, Burlington
On Friday, June 11th, CCTV Center for Media & Democracy will mark its 37th anniversary with an informal afternoon gathering in Town Meeting TV's new WiFi hotspot-powered outdoor studio in Burlington’s Old North End.
Media makers, viewers, and friends — old and new — are invited to stop by Little Park (on the corner of North Winooski Avenue and Archibald Street) to look back over the past few decades, hear about current projects, and help shape where the organization is headed next. The event will also be livestreamed at youtube.com/townmeetingtv
“The past year has been like no other in our 37-year history and we’re delighted to have reached this milestone,” says CCTV Executive Director and co-founder Lauren-Glenn Davitian.“While the pandemic has changed the way we do things, we’re as committed as ever to securing free speech, opening the doors of local government for all, and providing the channels, tools, and training to promote the exchange of diverse ideas and grease the wheels of democracy.”
Davitian emphasizes that everyone is welcome to join the celebration. “We’re looking forward to being able to share some of our latest accomplishments and safely celebrate with our community partners, neighbors, and friends.”
