From his early years, playing blues on Chicago's South Side, to his present multi-faceted career based out of northern Vermont, Paul has earned an underground reputation as a true "musician's musician". Robert L. Sand joined the faculty at Vermont Law School on a full-time basis in 2016, having served as the Vermont Governor's Liaison to Criminal Justice Programs, the former elected prosecutor (State’s Attorney) for Windsor County, Vermont (a position he held for 15 years), and a visiting professor of criminal law at Vermont Law School. He is a 1980 graduate of Hamilton College and a 1987 graduate of Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, where he served as the managing editor of the Vermont Law Review. He is a past member of the Vermont Law School Board of Trustees.

Mr. Sand is the Founding Director of the Center for Justice Reform at VLS to include spearheading the creation of a Master of Arts in Restorative Justice degree and a Professional Certificate in Restorative Justice. The Center for Justice Reform brings to VLS enhanced curricular attention to cutting-edge criminal justice issues and organizes conferences, presentations, and lectures related to justice reform efforts.

VLS and the Center for Justice Reform hosts the federally funded National Center on Restorative Justice, in partnership with the University of Vermont and the University of San Diego. Sand holds a Certificate in Restorative Justice Facilitation and Leadership from the University of San Diego.

Cameron (Cami) Davis (b. 1954 Bridgeport, CT.) is a former Senior Lecturer and teaches Painting, Drawing, Perspectives on Making, and Environmental Art. She received her M.F.A. in Painting from Pratt Institute in 1981 and B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Vermont, in 1976; with postgraduate studies in ecological theory from Schumacher College, Devon, UK in 1998 and 2015. Davis has attended artist residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Banff Centre for the Arts, Alberta, Canada, and has exhibited throughout Vermont, New York, and San Diego. She is in private and public collections nationally.

Davis is the recipient of the Lee Krasner – Jackson Pollock Foundation grant for painting, and Argosy Foundation and Puffin Foundation grants for painting in collaboration with composer Sam Guarnaccia. She considers her paintings, installations and community environmental art projects to be her primary vehicle for exploring issues of conscious perception as fundamental to navigating life in a warming and warring world. Her community art activist projects have followed the climate change movement for the last decade. She is interested in exploring wholistic aesthetics as a contributing factor towards cultivating the transition to a life affirming future. Davis is a member of the ecoartnetwork.org.

From Gary De Carolis:

I am the eldest son of an Italian American working class family raised in The Bronx, New York. After 12 years of parochial Catholic education, I attended the City University of New York, where I discovered the anti-war movement was more important than pre-med study and became a history major.

Discovery is my operative word: salesman, customer service, schoolteacher, window washer (40 story buildings), food cooperative manager, health care advocate/director, union organizer, electoral campaign worker/manager , city council staff, mediator, therapist, leadership development/coaching practice, entrepreneur. Throughout my life, my father, who lived to almost 100, would ask me, “what are you doing now, how do I describe your work to the family?”

The joy of three adult daughters, their families & offspring, currently 4 grandsons ages 2 months to 6 years living close by is a joy.
