Take a walk down NYE memory lane with CCTV archival footage of New Year’s past on view in a multi-TV installation in the lobby of City Hall. Relive years of circus acts, song and dance, drums and dragons with parade from 1984, community performances through the 80’s and 90’s, and the Millenium celebration of 1999-2000! See the streets of Burlington through the ages via the lens of CCTV founder, ubiquitous media maker, and meticulous archivist, Nat Ayer as well as other community media makers. Pennington Production’s, Myles David Jewell presents a multi-TV installation of VHS archival recordings in collaboration with CCTV archivist Jordan Mitchell, CCTV Director of Projects Meghan O’Rourke, and CCTV technical magician, Luna Zeitlyn. Explore your community media archive through interviews with founders Lauren-Glenn Davitian and Nat Ayer. Town Meeting TV is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Spring 2025 cohort of the Neighborhood Community Media Internship program. Join up to 8 other youth to engage in interesting media making projects! This paid media internship opportunity is designed for youth aged 16-20 who are eager to gain professional experience in the audio-visual field and develop a deeper understanding of their local community. The group will meet under the leadership of Town Meeting TV's Travis Washington from the end of January 2025 to the beginning of June 2025, on a schedule agreed upon by the whole cohort.
