People for Police Accountability is joined by Burlington City Councilors and public safety advocates for a press conference in support of Yes on Ballot Item #7, a Town Meeting Day. If passed, 7 will create an independent Community Control board to oversee local police, with both investigatory and disciplinary authority. Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s speak support of accountability and scoop free ice cream to the public at the event.
