The Vermont Air National Guard breaks ground on a $4.8 million Renewable Energy Project that will significantly reduce the base’s dependence on fossil fuels, improve energy security and demonstrate the effectiveness of three different types of photovoltaic (PV) applications at an Air National Guard Base.  Major General Michael Dubie will be joined by Governor James Douglas, Senator Bernie Sanders, State Representative Tony Klein and Mr. Ken Pigeon of Engineers Construction, Inc. for the groundbreaking.  Senator Sanders obtained the Federal Funding that this makes this project possible.
