Description
These are challenging economic times and Vermonters are working hard to keep up with financial change. This 30-minute program addresses some of the most pressing questions Vermonters have regarding managing their household budgets in this time of economic change. Four key segments in this program cover: personal credit; budgeting; housing; and personal bankruptcy. Short feature segments examine identity theft, consumer rights, saving for retirement, and qualifying for a home loan. At the close of the program, viewers are directed to online resources that provide more in-depth information on these topics. These resources include the Vermont Financial Education Resource Clearinghouse located on the Treasurer’s Office web site at: MoneyEd.Vermont.gov. The clearinghouse provides a listing of classes and local resources by Vermont county. Produced as a public service by the Office of the Vermont State Treasurer.
