Female Forward series host Mathilde Meyer talks with Planned Parenthood Northeast Director Lucy Lariche about issues facing the Planned Parenthood community. Title X payments for medical services are threatened by the Trump administration. This impacts a high percentage of Vermonters who need access to wellness care, birth control, pregnancy testing, pre-natal and post-natal care and abortion access. Vermont state medicaid payments are also in jeopardy and this interview provides insights into the vital role played by Planned Parenthood in Vermont. The Female Forward series is produced by video journalist Margaret Harrington working with summer intern Mathilde Meyer and focuses on empowering women.

This paid media internship opportunity is designed for youth aged 16-20 who are eager to gain professional experience in the audio-visual field and develop a deeper understanding of their local community. 5 of these spots are specifically for students who are part of the Burlington My Brother's Keeper/My Sister's Keeper programs. The group will meet under the leadership of Town Meeting TV's Travis Washington from the beginning of April 2024 to the end of August 2024, on a schedule agreed upon by the whole cohort.
