Join Ed Baker and his distinguished guest, Todd Mandell, MD, as they continue to discuss the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s 2019 expanded definition of addiction. What is meant by addiction, brain disease, and recovery? These are important questions, and Dr. Mandell answers them with the perspective of a Board Certified Psychiatrist with added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry and who has 30 years' experience in the field of addiction psychiatry. Especially interesting are Dr.Mandell’s views on empowerment and choice. Joining Dr. Mandell with his valued perspective is Cam Lauf, Certified Recovery Coach.

Working with communities to address the opioid crisis.
SAMHSA’s State Targeted Response Technical Assistance (STR-TA) grant created the Opioid Response Network to assist STR grantees, individuals and other organizations by providing the resources and technical assistance they need locally to address the opioid crisis.
Technical assistance is available to support the evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery of opioid use disorders.

Summer Video Production Internship - Applications Open
Town Meeting TV is hiring two paid interns to join our production team for the summer! The program will run from Monday, June 24th until Friday, August 16th (8 weeks). $17 an hour, approximately 8 hours per week. We are looking for folks who have basic or intermediate experience with video recording and editing on Adobe Premiere. Interns will work with the Town Meeting TV Co-Directors to pick stories or events that they would like to cover in our community, practice outreach skills, then shoot and edit video that will be broadcasted on Town Meeting TV's YouTube and cable channels.
