Community Voices for Immigrant Rights holds a rally in support of a Burlington City Council Resolution in support of Palestine.
From CVIR:
We demand dignity, safety, and justice for the Palestinian people. This is what the proposed Palestinian resolution states:
The city of Burlington supports
1. Ending the military occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Separation Wall;
2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and
3. Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated under U.N. Resolution 194.
Community Voices for Immigrant Rights is a grassroots community organization based in Burlington, VT working to fight for immigrant rights in support of and collaboration with immigrant-led groups.
