Special Burlington City Council, Part 1 of 3 12/03/2009

The Burlington City Council meets on Mondays, three times each month at 7pm. Their meetings air live on Channel 317 (Burlington Telecom) and on Channel 17 at the air times listed below. Essex Junction Planning Commission 12/03/2009

The five members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Village Trustees. The commission meets on the first and third Thursday of each month to review development applications, update the Land Development Code and assist in the update of the Comprehensive Plan.

South Burlington Development Review Board 12/01/2009

The South Burlington City Council is made up of 5 citizens who live in the City of South Burlington, elected at-large by the voters of the City. These five councilors sit with 2-3 year terms expiring in an annual rotation. The City Council meets regularly on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month to conduct business of the City and carry out the provisions of the City Charter. Special or emergency meetings can be called in the event that an urgent need arises for City Council authorization. City Council meetings are held at City Hall in the conference room and begin at 7pm.

A special Ad Hoc Chaired by Councilor Joan Shannon. Committee goes over past and current structure of Burlington Telecom governance. Who plays what role in respect to Burlington Telecom. Committee goes through Burlington City Charter and state statutes to further explore governing structure possibilities. Committee searches and discusses possible future governance structure for Burlington Telecom.

A special Ad Hoc Chaired by Councilor Karen Paul. This committee was formed to explore questions relating to an audit to Burlington Telecom. Also to answer questions about audits, what they accomplish and which type of audit is best for the financial questions about Burlington Telecom's past and future.
