Rally and March for George Floyd at Battery Park 05/30/2020

Organized by Peace and Justice Center and Black Lives Matter Burlington, a thousand or more people gathered at Battery Park in Burlington to rally in protest of the killing of George Floyd. Occurring alongside is a car rally and march to the Burlington Police Department.

A Visit With: Off the Wall Visits the Burlington Mayor's Office 01/02/2018

Community Producer Margaret Harrington heads to Burlington's City Hall with Albert Petrarca, of Off the Wall Coalition, to find out how the Mayor will respond to the Church Street mural accusations of racism and white supremacy. Off the Wall Coalition presents Mayor Miro Weinberger's Chief of Staff, Brian Lowe, with the demand that the mayor withdraws his consent to being in the existing Marketplace Mural.

Through Survivors' Eyes: Charlottesville, Greensboro, and the Fight to Resist White Supremacy 11/09/2017

The speakers, Sally and Paul Bermanzohn, are survivors of the Greensboro Massacre when a group of KKK and Neo-Nazis opened fire on demonstrators about to begin a march against the KKK. Five people were killed, 9 injured. This was on November 3, 1979.

They focus their talk on the Greensboro Massacre, Charlottesville, the history of white supremacy, and, perhaps most importantly, what we can do as a community to combat this hate and move towards a more just society. Included in the talk is a short 10-minute film of the Massacre (live footage from November 3, 1979). The program ends with a Q&A / discussion with the audience.

RAD-TV Presents: Raise Up VT 08/25/2017

This August on RAD TV - Live @ 525 we are breaking down one of RAD’s big campaigns to "Raise Up VT," which addresses workers' rights issues in Vermont ranging from implementing a $15/hr minimum wage, to paid family and medical leave. We discuss our goals for the campaign, as well as delve into the intricacies of raising a state’s minimum wage. We also touch on some of RAD’s successes over the past month and look to the future for upcoming events and campaigns. This month’s show starts with a response to white supremacy, the KKK, neo-nazis, racism, and hatred overall.
