Since the end of the 19th century, Lakeside Avenue has been home to companies that have produced world-renowned ovens, cotton textiles, small machinery, such as coin machines and small gasoline engines, as well as land, sea, and air systems for the U.S. military. This talk examines the manufacturing past of Burlington's Lakeside Avenue, focusing on the former Queen City Cotton Mill, its worker housing, and Blodgett Ovens. Chugging Through South Burlington On The Burlington and Lamoille Railroad 03/22/2015

Gerry Fox, a former President of the Chittenden County Historical Society, and a great Vermont railway history enthusiast, speaks on a little known spur of the B&L which was meant to cross the eastern side of SB heading for Hinesburg, but was never fully built out. This is part of a historical perspective on the City as South Burlington Town seperated from the new City of Burlington in 1865, and thus along with Burlington, South Burlington is celebrating it's 150th birthday as a municipality this year.
