Tracy Dolan, Vermont's State Refugee Director, talks about the most recent influx of refugee families to Vermont, the challenges they face, the services they access, the mutual benefits of welcoming families to Vermont and how people can help through donation of time and funds. Vermont Language Justice Project - VLJP: Vermont Language Justice Project: Connecting Non-English Speakers to Life Saving Health Information 01/12/2022

The Vermont Language Justice Project connects non-English speakers to COVID health messages delivered by trusted sources in 14 languages and multiple formats, including video and sound files. Program Director Alison Segar and project partners Irene Webster (Association of Africans Living in Vermont) and Amila Merdzanovic (US Committee on Refugees and Immigrants VT) discuss the importance of language justice and VLJP's role in delivering essential COVID messages and its future in overall public health communications.
