Emergency Rally: Let The Ballot Question Through! 12/16/2024

Burlingtonians gather in response to a possible ballot measure calling for an end to “Israel’s apartheid regime, settler colonialism and military occupation” that could be on Burlington’s Tballot in 2025. The ballot measure is identical to one that was proposed in January when councilors voted to not place it on the 2024 ballot.

Burlington Community Forum Part 1: Drug Trafficking and Gun Crime 12/14/2023

The City of Burlington hosts a community forum about drug trafficking and gun crime, featuring the following panelists: 

  • Chief Jon Murad and Lieutenant Mike Beliveau, Burlington Police Department
  • Senator Philip Baruth

The City of Burlington held two Public Safety Community Forums to discuss important issues and challenges facing our community: drug trafficking, gun crime, substance use disorder, and property crime. Panelists at each forum present information about ongoing work at the local, state, and federal levels to address these issues, and participants have the opportunity to submit questions in advance on the City’s website.

Hussein Mubarak Celebration of Life 07/12/2022

Celebration of life for Hussein Mubarak led by family and friends. Hussein was a neighborhood youth who grew up in the ONE and who was killed in Burlington's Old North End on July 7, 2022.
