This dynamic Conference, The Power and Promise of Community Health Workers in Vermont: Paving a Path to Equity, is designed with and for Community Health Workers, allies, partners and organizations that are supporting or who are interested in strengthening the CHW capacity and professional workforce in our state. It includes:
- a special event keynote session with Denise Octavia Smith, MBA, CHW, PN and founding Executive Director of the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW)
- workshops with CHWs, allies and regional/national experts on CHW networks, education, policy and more!
- two special sessions on CHW sustainable funding and competency-based training
- a roundtable with representatives from CHW employer organizations across Vermont
The Conference is an in-person event with livestream and limited virtual options. Other featured presenters/experts who will participate include:
