Join Common Good Vermont, the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger, and nonprofit allies at the Vermont Statehouse as we build a case for the vital work of Vermont's independent sector, meet with legislators (including those running for governor), and learn advocacy best practices.  Featuring "Giving in Vermont" with Stuart Comstock - Gay. The annual Common Good Vermont meeting featured a current VCF report on the state of Vermont philanthropy.  In addition, the Spencer Group reported on the development of a new nonprofit database and CCTV's Lauren-Glenn Davitian unveiled the new Common Good website (www.commongoodvt.org)

Environmental Literacy for Vermont Public Meetings
From Lisa Purcell of the Statewide Environmental Education Programs (SWEEP) alliance: Attend one of fourteen public dialogues on Environmental Literacy for Vermont. Our goal is to gather stories about these model environmental practices and projects to help draft a roadmap to environmental literacy for Vermont.  Please come share ideas from your workplace or community. The first of the fourteen dialogues (one in each county) will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Ilsley Public Library in Middlebury, VT.  For more info visit:   www.environmentalliteracyvt.org

This month www.CommonGoodVT.org  is featuring the Northshire Nonprofit Network.
