Spring's A'Poppin for Nonprofits and Activists at CCTV

April 20, 2010

Spring Greetings!

Are you enjoying this emerald and chartreuse world of buds and blossoms? Here at CCTV we have busted out of winter and are busy pulling worms out of the ground! Plus we are putting the finishing touches on an exciting series of upcoming events for our nonprofit and activist friends!

This spring, we continue to provide you with the media training, tools and channels that help you make a difference! We see this as a partnership that works: CCTV helps you to expand your networks and advance your mission. You help us make a stronger case for free speech and open communications networks--keeping channels and tools open and available for everyone!

In addition to our regular video production and editing workshops at Channel 17, we've got a great Media Maven lined up: Digital Story Telling on Thursday, May 24th at Noon with Charlie Nardozi, Eva Solberger, Sona Iyengar and our very own Meghan O'Rourke! Come find out what makes a great story and gets it out to the world with impact!

Plus CCTV is deeply involved in our newest program, Common Good Vermont. With the help of loyal community funders, we recently launched a new web site designed to share news about Vermont’s nonprofit sector and provide direct access to training opportunities. We hope you’ll get excited about our Spring 2010 training schedule which includes the Common Good Vermont 2010 Road Show (8 events in all corners of the state in May and June), the newly launched NPO Maven Series (webacasts and webinars on nonprofit leadership topics) and, of course, the continuing Media Maven Series (live events and NOW webcast on communications strategy and new media).

We hope you’ll join us for all of these renewing events and sing the word like spring birds!
