Join the Party! CCTV Celebrates A Grand 25 Years on June 13th

June 01, 2009

Dear Friends:

We are very excited about CCTV’s 25th Gala Anniversary Party on Saturday, June 13th and hope you will join us at the Burlington Boathouse at 6 p.m. for the celebration! You can RSVP Today and help us to honor the work that YOU have done to protect free speech and move public access media forward.

CCTV first aired on June 12th 1984 after convincing (then) Cox Cable and the Vermont Public Service Board that public access cable TV could open a window into our community and the door into local government. Twenty-five years later, there are more than 40 access channels across Vermont and CCTV has helped hundreds of activists and organizations tell their stories, expand their reach and change the way we think of local media. RSVP Today!

So celebrate 25 years with us on beautiful Lake Champlain in Burlington on June 13th! Bring your family and friends to celebrate fun-filled festitivities—enjoy fabulous food, dance to music by Flood in the Fizzy Factory, applaud free speech champions, watch video highlights of the past 25 years and DON’T MISS the group picture (at 7p.m.).

Thank you for your support of free speech, public access TV and community media for all! We’ll see you on Saturday, June 13th at the Burlington Boathouse (at the bottom of College Street) from 6 – 9 p.m. Your contribution of $10 or more is welcome! RSVP Today!

Your Friends at CCTV Center for Media & Democracy,

Lauren-Glenn, Nat, Meghan, Rob, Sarah, Bill, Jess, Tuija, Geoff, Chris, Brent, Kathleen, Megan, Carl, Kevin and Chris

P.S. – If you can’t make it (and we really hope you can), please consider a contribution to CCTV’s Free Speech Fund to help support our work as we move into the future!

P.P.S. – An extra thanks to our 25th Anniversary Sponsors: Let’s Pretend Catering, The Allen Agency, Business Communications, Chittenden Bank, Fleischer Jacobs Group, SoverNet and the CCTV Board!
