Mayor Miro Weinberger, City and Community Officials, Old North Enders, and other partners celebrate the grand re-opening of the newly reinvented Roosevelt Park, representing the completion of another major Penny for Parks project. The Park is back open after some big renovations. The new park received a teen academic center, new tennis and basketball courts. The project is just one of 61 that have been completed to revitalize parks around the city. Voters approved the project in 2008.

The Williston DRB consists of a seven member Board appointed by the Selectboard for staggered three year terms. This Board is responsible for reviewing and approving all proposed development projects. This includes conditional use, variance, site plan, and subdivision approvals. The Board also reviews Certificates of Appropriateness as recommended by the Historical Preservation Committee.  Agenda can be found here:

David Mears, Commissioner of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation gives the keynot at the CCRPC's Annual Meeting. The Chittenden County Regional Planning Organization (CCRPC) promotes cooperation among the 19 municipalities of the Chittenden County region.

Mayor Weinberger and CEDO host this public forum to solicit feedback and comment on the Downtown Housing Strategy Report prepared by HR&A Advisors. The feedback will be used to develop a strategic housing plan in consultation with stakeholders, including the affordable housing community, the active transportation community, local employers, AARP, our major institutions, the development community, Preservation Burlington, and environmental groups. CEDO staff will incorporate the report findings and public comments into a Housing Action Plan. A draft of the plan will be presented for public comment at a second public meeting in early September, with the goal of having the plan adopted by full City Council in fall 2014.
