Essex Junction Planning Commission 06/26/2014

Public hearing, Municipal Comprehensive Plan. The five members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Village Trustees. The commission meets on the first and third Thursday of each month to review development applications, update the Land Development Code and assist in the update of the Comprehensive Plan.

This meeting is in regards to zoning amendment changes. The Planning Commission meetings are all held at the Town Offices at 81 Main Street in Essex Junction, in the downstairs conference room on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Burlington Wards 4 & 7 NPA Meeting 06/25/2014

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the third Tuesday of the month. Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger: Mayor Miro Weinberger Celebrates Grand Re-Opening of Roosevelt Park 06/25/2014

Mayor Miro Weinberger, City and Community Officials, Old North Enders, and other partners celebrate the grand re-opening of the newly reinvented Roosevelt Park, representing the completion of another major Penny for Parks project. The Park is back open after some big renovations. The new park received a teen academic center, new tennis and basketball courts. The project is just one of 61 that have been completed to revitalize parks around the city. Voters approved the project in 2008.

Common Good Vermont: Educational Leaders - Making a Difference! 06/25/2014

Leadership is all around us. Host Mark Furnari speaks with Jeff Binay, the long standing Director of Indian Education for Franklin County Public Schools which serves approximately 620 Abenaki students, K-12. The Indian Education program is a comprehensive initiative which supports Abenaki students through a myriad of services ranging from in-school programs to after-school cultural endeavors. The program is guided by the belief in self determination for Abenaki parents reflected in a very active Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) comprised of sixteen Abenaki parents, elders, students, and teachers, which oversees all educational and cultural supports for Abenaki children enrolled in area public schools.

Colchester Development Review Board 06/25/2014

The Colchester Development Review Board is charged with processing site plan, subdivision, and conditional use applications and variance requests and appeals of the Zoning Administrator's determinations. Board meetings are at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Colchester Meeting House in the Village. Further information on the Board can be obtained by contacting the Department of Planning and Zoning.

Williston Development Review Board Part. 2 06/24/2014

The Williston DRB consists of a seven member Board appointed by the Selectboard for staggered three year terms. This Board is responsible for reviewing and approving all proposed development projects. This includes conditional use, variance, site plan, and subdivision approvals. The Board also reviews Certificates of Appropriateness as recommended by the Historical Preservation Committee. Agenda can be found here:
