Description

Vermont Association for Mental Health (VAMH) welcomes Renzo De Stefani, Director of Mental Health Services of Trento (Italy), as the “Peer Support Around the World” Conference comes to Vermont September 14, 2011. Along with Kathleen Bertotti & Emanuele Torri, De Stefani presents Trento’s mental health system, which utilizes a unique combination of peer and professional supports. The “doing to-gether” approach in Trento (combining the expertise of peers and families with the knowledge of professionals) “improves the quality of services provided by the system, placing the patient truly at the heart of the system of care.” The conference will also feature presentations by some of Vermont’s peer support programs. Part 3 of 3.
