Description

Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), shares insights at his first press availability following his trip to Havana with Secretary Kerry for the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Cuba. Leahy for years has led efforts in Congress, with this and earlier administrations, to replace the failed 50-year-old U.S. Cuba policy with a normalized relationship. Leahy also led efforts to free Alan Gross, and on Dec. 17 President Obama sent Leahy to Havana to bring Alan Gross home.
