Description

The 13th annual celebration Diwali Night on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 at 5 pm in the Davis Center’s Grand Maple Ballroom.

This year is extra special, as for the first time the Indian Student Association is hosting a Padma Shri awardee, legendary Indian folk singer Prahlad Tipanya from India, to perform at Diwali. Prahlad Tipaniya is the second Padma Shri awardee to perform not only in UVM but in the state of Vermont.

In addition to the music, we have President Suresh Garimella as our chief guest who speaks on the diversity mission of UVM.

For over a decade, Diwali has been one of the major cultural festivities on the UVM campus, but this event is not only important for UVM but as a whole for the Burlington community to spread diversity and raise awareness on various cultures.
