International Women's Day Celebration in Burlington 03/07/2018

A city-wide celebration to honor and ensure the rights of all women and girls to lead secure, creative, healthy and free lives. This year’s honorees: Sue Gillis, publisher of “Vermont Woman,” a local newspaper; Barbara Jordan, a fitness expert, and advocate; and Dolly Fleming, director of Mercy Connections. This year we are making a special award (in absentia) to Tarana Burke, originator of the “Me Too” movement. Guest Speaker: Robin Lloyd, of the Women’s League for Peace and Freedom.

We invite you to come meet and converse with the diverse women of our community, taste some delicious treats, and learn about ways in which women impact our community and the world.
