Town Meeting TV + Vermont Youth Documentary Lab Summer Video Program

May 18, 2021

Youth media makers ages 13 to 17 who are interested in documentary and nonfiction storytelling are encouraged to join Town Meeting TV and Vermont Youth Documentary Lab for a week of creativity, collaboration, and fun during the 2021 Summer Video Program in Burlington.

Overseen by local filmmaker and educator Christopher Wiersema, the camp takes place at the Town Meeting TV Studios (294 North Winooski Avenue, Burlington) from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 19th - Friday, July 23rd. Participants will learn video and audio production and editing skills while producing an individual or collaborative creative media project. LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth are encouraged to participate.

Town Meeting TV + Vermont Youth Documentary Lab 2021 Summer Video Program will follow CDC/State of Vermont COVID-19 guidelines, and the majority of the camp will take place outside in Burlington’s Old North End neighborhood.

Camp fees are offered on a “Pay-What-You-Can” sliding fee scale, from free to $350. (Donations to help cover the cost of other youth participants are welcome.)
