Recruiting: Channel 17 Trustee from Colchester

Do you live in Colchester and have an interest in local government and free speech? Consider joining the Channel 17 Trustees as the rep from Colchester--help us set direction for the future! Here's some more information:

Channel 17/ Town Meeting Television airs on Comcast and Burlington Telecom. The Channel is overseen by the Chittenden County Government Access Channel Trust. Trustees are selected by each of the member communities (Burlington, South Burlington, Essex, Essex Junction, Winooski, Williston and Colchester) and, as an elected official or appointed volunteer, serves at the pleasure of the municipal leadership. The Trustees are responsible for fiduciary and policy functions, which include overseeing the financial resources, setting and reviewing Channel policies and hiring and evaluating the Channel 17 contractor,

Trustee meetings are held monthly (except for July and August). Trustee responsibilities require 2-6 hours of commitment each month.

Channel 17 is operated by CCTV Center for Media & Democracy on behalf of the Trustees.
