Calling Media Activists to the CCTV Board

August 30, 2021

CCTV Center for Media & Democracy has three board openings for inquiring minds, activists, and leaders who want to bring their mission and skills to help good ideas spread like wildfire across the democratic sky.

Do you have an affinity for people-powered media? Are you willing to be a front-line champion? Do you like to work in groups to make change happen? Do risk and opportunity fire you up? Do you have specific skills in finance, governance, organizing, and/or community building? If so, we'd love to talk with you!

CCTV Center for Media & Democracy was established in 1984 to mobilize public, educational, and government access cable TV. Since then, Vermont has developed 25 community media centers serving dozens of communities through TV and internet "channels."

Over nearly 40 years, CCTV has pioneered many ways of building community through media -- from Town Meeting TV and CCTV Productions to Common Good Vermont and the Old North End Community Technology Center. During this transition from cable TV to internet delivery, we are looking for innovative and inspired Board members to help us diversify our revenue, including legislative support. This is an exciting time to join the Board!
