The Civic cloud project is a collaboration between CCTV Center for Media & Democracy, Channel 17 / Town Meeting Television, Found Line, Laboratory B, Regional Educational Technology Network (RETN), Vermont Community Access Media (VCAM), and Code for BTV volunteers. Working together to build the servers, develop sustainable infrastructure and lead the way into the new frontiers of technology. The new Big Heavy World web site is just the beginning. The Civic Cloud will showcase community applications that need space and speed while helping the City of Burlington be a part of U.S. Ignite, helping to encourage the creation of technical applications that will promote further investments in community broadband infrastructure like Burlington Telecom.
