Burlington Ward 5 NPA Meeting 10/18/2012

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Ward5 meet Department of Public Works Building, 645 Pine Street.

Attended Bike Parking is a project of the Burlington Walk/Bike Council, supported by Local Motion, the Ski Rack, the Burlington Departments of Public Works and Parks and Recreation, the City Market Member Workers program, and many volunteers, coordinated by Phil Hammerslaugh, Stu Lindsay and Thomas Cohen.

Conversation on Race Now (C.O.R.N.) invites community members in a listening session to the voices of youth. Facilitated by: Dr. Stacey Miller. Ward 1 meets the second Wednesday of the month. Meeting place: UVM's Memorial Lounge Waterman Building. Agenda items for this meeting include: City Council Update: Sharon Bushor, Speak Out and Update on Neighborhood Issues, B.E.D. General Manager, Barbara Grimes, on the Smart Grid/Smart Meter implementation, 3 story apartment building with underground parking at 110 Riverside Avenue.

Williston Development Review Board 10/09/2012

Development Review Board (DRB) - The Williston DRB consists of a seven member Board appointed by the Selectboard for staggered three year terms. This Board is responsible for reviewing and approving all proposed development projects. This includes conditional use, variance, site plan, and subdivision approvals. The Board also reviews Certificates of Appropriateness as recommended by the Historical Preservation Committee. Agenda Items for this meeting include:
