This week we follow up on some of the legislation that passed this session. Vermont's Health Care Advocate Mike Fisher updates Emilie and Olga on what's happening with the state's health care market. Rep. Emilie dives into the latest federal stimulus money and how it could help people pay their premiums. Meanwhile, Olga - whose insurance will be impacted by these changes - pays VERY close attention.

Charity Clark and Ryan Kriger of the Vermont Attorney General’s Office have your back! In this 6th installment of the People’s Law School, they walk you through a variety of issues faced by consumers and shoppers, such as: best practices for buying a car; how to protect yourself from getting scammed, defrauded, or deceived when shopping; protecting yourself from identity theft; illegal debt collection practices; the “private right of action” under the Vermont Consumer Protection Act, which allows a consumer to bring a lawsuit against a business that violated the Act; and more!

The People's Law School is a series of free, virtual presentations on contemporary legal topics impacting the lives of Vermonters. It is a partnership of the Attorney General's Office, the Association of Africans Living in Vermont (AALV), the Vermont Racial Justice Alliance, the Vermont Institute for Community and International Involvement (VICII), and The Caroline Fund, with support from ACLU of Vermont.

In this panel event we learn from and with several youth-led restorative justice programs. We want to learn from what's working in these programs and also collectively vision and push around how we can better center youth and justice in these kinds of programs. We hope that this panel event inspires other Vermont schools to start and grow youth-led restorative justice programs!
